Burnside
Last summer I hooked up with multiple award winning Skateshop /park / team Burnside from [Cook de Ville / Deventer] the Netherlands. As a teenager I spend hours at Rodolfo’s [before they changed the name into Burnside] to become the best inline skater of my era what eventually didn’t happened. Me and my boys hang around the shop, watching skate movies, tried every new pair of shoes, caps and all the new stuff that came in. Herm [owner of Burnside] was relax as always and knew how to motivate us to keep on the streets instead of the opposite. Years passed by and 2 decades later I saw Herm on a outdoor festival and he still recognized me. We talked about daily stuff and he offered me to paint the skatepool. Besides this cool project, its funny that we’re still connected one way or another…
